This pack is approximately 2/3s the capacity of our original "Overnighter" with additional exterior pockets. The Overnighter II is more popular with Engineers since they don't have to haul as much as the Conductors do.

This pack is approximately 2/3s the capacity of our original "Overnighter" with additional exterior pockets.  I came up with this bag because a number of customers requested a smaller bag similar to the larger Overnighter.  In fact, this is the bag I carried on the road as an engineer.   The Overnighter II is popular with Engineers since they don't have to haul as much as the Conductors do.

  • Dimensions: 20” H x 11” W x 6” ...footprint approx. 14” x 11 “.
  • Full height open slash pocket on “back” side to allow custom padding or additional storage space to suit your needs.

finally having to retire it!!
I bought mine over 18 years ago and I've had 0 problems with zippers and straps.  I've worn holes in it, the elastic on the side pouch has lost its elasticity, and I'm what they refer to as "high miler".  My bag has seen at least 5,000 trips.  100% totally satisfied.  Kind of sad that I'm having to retire the bag.  was hoping it would retire me in 11 years.  buying a new one today.

The best money can buy
I'm a engineer and over the last 19 yrs I've bought a few grips .. Some the claimed to be TUFF with zipper failures .. Some as big as a OX that take a round trip to pay for .. This is the best bag for the money any railroader can buy.. I've had mine now a yr and a half still going strong as the day I recieved it .. Mine is the medium back pack which is great for climbing up on engines and getting through the doors . I put a 1 inch foam pad in the back zippered pouch which gives it rigidity and keep stuff from poking me in the back aka rule book .. Thanks for making a great bag

Great product, great service!
I bought this backpack for my boyfriend for Christmas and not only is he going to love it, but the company is amazing and delivery was fast. I took the bag out of the box and was amazed with the quality. Since it's near Christmas, I got an e-mail asking if it was a present, and since it was it got here even faster. I can't thank them enough for great service and a wonderful product!

Great Grip & Great Folks
I have this bag and love it. Been using it daily for at least 8-9 years. It developed a small ripped seem and I contacted them and they bent over backwards to make me happy. Buy this grip and it will be the last you ever buy!

Great Bag
I'm an engineer and this bag meets all of my needs, it could actually be a little bit smaller and be fine. If your looking for a backpack to carry everthing you need and keep it well organized this is the one.
